Discretion is foundational to the trust on which this practice is built. The clients served here operate in environments where confidentiality is not a preference — it is a professional and often regulatory requirement. This protocol describes how that requirement is met at every stage of an engagement.
All enquiries submitted through the contact form or by direct email are treated as confidential from the moment they are received. No enquiry is disclosed to any third party. The identity of anyone who makes contact — whether or not an engagement results — is protected as a matter of course.
Initial consultations are governed by informal mutual confidentiality pending execution of a formal NDA. The intent is to make the first step as easy as possible, with full legal protection in place from the outset of any substantive discussion.
A formal Non-Disclosure Agreement is executed before any substantive discussion of mandate content, project specifics, or client materials. The NDA is mutual — it protects both parties — and is a standard part of the engagement process, not a special requirement for sensitive mandates.
The NDA covers all information disclosed during the engagement, including the existence of the engagement itself where the client requires this. Specific provisions can be adapted to meet the client's own confidentiality framework or governing NDA template where preferred.
No client is identified — by name, institution, geography, or project description — in any context without explicit written consent. This applies to all public-facing materials, including the portfolio and testimonials sections of this website, where all engagements are presented in fully anonymised form.
No work product produced during an engagement is referenced, reproduced, or described without the client's permission. Intellectual property in all delivered work vests absolutely in the client upon delivery and final payment.
No work is sub-contracted or delegated to third parties without the client's explicit prior consent. Where the client consents to specialist sub-contracting — for translation, technical review, or other support functions — the sub-contractor is required to execute a confidentiality agreement on equivalent terms before receiving any client materials.
Client materials provided during an engagement are stored securely and accessed only for the purposes of that engagement. Materials are not retained beyond the terms of the engagement letter. Upon delivery and final payment, client materials are returned or securely destroyed per the NDA provisions and at the client's direction.
